Spindle Turning

Beginner level spindle turning class. We will discuss and use many of the spindle turning tools in the Make 717 collection. Use and sharpening will be discussed and practiced. Tools to be used are Spindle Roughing Gouge, Skew, Spindle Detail Gouge.

Our project will be to turn a Maple Carving Mallet. Two mallet blanks will be provided for each student. (One for class one for practice on your own)

If you have tools of your own please feel free to take them along.
