Using the new Rikon Midi lathe we will have a short review the use and sharpening of the Make 717 bowl turning tools and Talon Chuck. Each tool will be discussed and demonstrated. Attendees will then work with the tools. Should you own turning tools take them along for sharpening or critique.

Deep fluted bowl gouge

Negative rake scrapers versus

Standard Scraper (square end and Round)

Shear Scraping

Free hand sharpening will be demonstrated as well as the use of Wolverine Sharpening Jig.
